Traditional Method of Making
Cold Pressed Method
Process: Pressed in metallic expellers or metallic kolhu.
Oil Yield: 10% higher than wood-pressing method
Temperature: Due to the presence of metal, the temperature rises more.
Wood Pressed Method
Process: Pressed in wooden Kolhu/Chekku.
Oil Yield: Lesser - 40% compared to cold pressed
Temperature: Minimal rise in temperature while producing oil ensuring nutrient preservation.
